Spent the weekend with Dad before heading out to Las Vegas. Flights from Phoenix to Las Vegas are easy to swing, so the opportunity was nice.
One trip we made was to the Heard Museum. “The mission of the Heard Museum is to educate people about the arts, heritage and life ways of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, with an emphasis on American Indian tribes of the Southwest.”
Most notable exhibits for me were the WWII Code Talkers, and The Boarding School Experience. The visit was a pleasant surprise. No arrow heads to be found. Well, maybe the gift shop.
It would have be better if I qualified for a student discount, but apparently being a “student of life” doesn’t. Maybe if I had a student ID…
- The war continues.
- I only took this photo because it looked like it was giving the two handed birdies.
- TPR goes native?
- Spooky.
- Very intricate wood dolls on display.
