Thanks to Cal-Tac, a FFL in Roseville, CA, for sponsoring the event and donating several goodies (including a lever action rifle). Thank you Public Safety Training Institute for bringing Lt. Col. Dave Grossman to Sacramento, CA.
If you read the books, On Killing, On Combat, and Warrior Mindset, then you may already agree that seeing Grossman is a pretty cool opportunity. There’s nothing like listening to a well-spoken, articulate, and motivating speaker who argues that concealed carried firearms is practical and necessary for daily practice and policy.
What I particularly enjoy about Grossman’s On Killing is the discussion on what can be expected in life/death scenario – physiological responses that many may have not experienced. His presentations are very motivational and gets folks, from all walks of life, to really think about the importance of carrying a firearm. While I take a lot from his books and his presentation, I also acknowledge what others, i.e., Tom Aveni, have stated about some facts presented. Without Grossman’s book, however, it’s likely non-military, or non-LEO wouldn’t even begin to discuss the issue.
It’s on my “to-do” list.
Glad you convinced me to go!
I have had the privilege of seeing Grossman. I highly recommend it to anyone. His analysis is good and he is completely fearless.
