Considering the lethal ramifications of carrying concealed with an appendix holster, it was quite awhile before I could come to terms with the elevated risk; particularly if you train on a frequent basis. I bought an Archangel, designed by Dale Fricke, based on a bother-in-arm’s recommendation citing how comfortable and fast it was to draw from.
Size medium shirt.
My holster was molded for the GLOCK 19. It’s constructed out of KYDEX and I was provided with two additional sets of snap loops. Wearing jeans, shorts and slacks, the Archangel is a comfortable pistol carrier and I prefer it to my strong side holsters at this time. If I must tuck my shirt in, I still resort to a suit jacket/blazer covering an OWB or IWB holster on my strong side. Nonetheless, the Archangel is comfortable standing, sitting and moving about.
Vintage Silk shirt. Post-wash. Size medium.
The holster sits high enough above the belt to grip the pistol without difficulty and not dig in to your leg or crotch.
If I ride the holster high, it tends to print more. For me, I let it ride just below my navel and appears to work wonderfully.
Liger Gun Belt.
If you understand the risks associated with AIWB carry, I highly recommend this particular holster. The danger of a ready pistol pointing at your femoral artery/genitals cannot be overstated. To be frank, I still have a tingly feeling in my pants, though not the kind that’s desired – or is it?
