Appleseed Project Dec. 18-19th

Wet, cold and windy.  Still had fun.  Some notes:

– I spent the weekend shooting an AR15 platform with a dedicated .22LR upper from Model 1 Sales without a malfunction.  Grouped well with Federal Champions.  I need to work on NPA.  I may want to try subsonic cartridges.

– Instructors in training were a welcome surprise.  Almost all of them were young women and and men.  Reminded me of Molly.  Each held their own, knew their stuff, and were able to disseminate information. Pros.

– My shooting mat was a wool blanket.  Sucker was heavy lying in the rain all day!

– I locked my keys in my car; had them stowed in my hardshell, which was tossed into the trunk without a second thought.  With the help of an Appleseed Instructor, I was able to jimmy my car open.

– I should scotch-guard my bags.

Minus33‘s merino wool base layer products are my new favorite.

– Shooting while standing with wind = difficult.

– Almost cleared the redcoat target.

A $5 magnetic Hide-a-Key box stowed under the car has saved my bacon more than once.

It has been suggested. I suppose I’m more paranoid about it being discovered than being stuck. haha.
