Started the morning early to add another firearm to my Nevada CCW through Armed and Safe.  Spent a few more minutes at the Sheriff’s office and I was all done!

Made my way out to the Washoe County Shooting Facility and proceeded to have some shooting fun.  I spent a majority of my time hitting plates at 450 yards with my M1A through iron sights, taking pictures, and testing/evaluating the Zeiss Victory LRF provided by CS Tactical.  I also had my way with a Thompson Semi-auto carbine .45 ACP  courtesy of US Citizen.  Ashley of Girls ❤ Guns made progressed down the shooting line to shoot different firearms, including the M1A and an Ar15 variant.

Coming back, Dan Hall introduced GunUp.com, an “authoritative community for gun enthusiasts to share, discuss, review and compare guns and accessories with confidence.”  As a gun owner, Dan related to us that he understands the frustration that might be involved with finding information on the Internet.  His experience typically is information that is fragmented, confusing and “low tech.”  Dan hopes that GunUp.com  will become a vibrant online community for new and experienced gun owners, promote responsible gun ownership, use the latest web technology and give back to veterans and community.  Dan gave us a brief tour of GunUp.com including a visually attractive site map that appears well organized and will might even prove useful.  Dan anticipates that GunUp.com will launch in about 15 days.  I’m looking forward to see what will become of it; perhaps become a part of it’s growth.

Though nothing special, I brought the GLOCK 29SF among other things for Show-N-Tell.  The GLOCK isn’t anything special in itself; however, it represented how California gun owners are winning – effectively winning on behalf the entire nation.  Things are changing; enough so that there’s a very high probability I will be permitted to carry by the end of the year thanks to Sykes v. McGinness and McDonald v. Chicago and Heller v. District of Columbia.  Even more amazing is that the issuing authority is the Sacramento Co. Sheriff.
