Lakeside Machine has an AR upper that will work for both semi-auto and NFA M16 lowers. For $695.00 + lower receiver assembly, you can have a .22LR rimfire belt fed gun! Cool! In CA, we’ll still have to use 10 round belts, but I would be OK with that. I think I’ll do some homework on a rimfire AR15 belt fed pistol.
M2HB .17 HMR belt fed goodness.
Keep looking – they’ve had horrible CS issues in the past.
If you can buy one used on a lower that you have seen it function on, fine.
Note: highly ammo finicky.
Thanks, Ry. Good to know. I’ll keep looking then.
CS issues from lakeside? I doubt that. The guy who owns that company goes to shows personally and talks with you like a regular guy. Rarely have I not been able to reach him for technical questions. The website has a forum that has a bunch of info on it. Go there and get a feel for them. The new upper they have now is tempting for that kind of money for sure.
