If they are so readily converted, and cheap, maybe the ATF should recommend their source to the DOD.
having handled some GBB airsoft rifles I am confident that they are pretty much impossible to convert to real assault rifles with replacing pretty much all the working parts, receiver and barrel. With the same reasoning, any set of rifle stock with forearm is easily converted to an AR-15.
