I discovered www.waterfallswest.com recently, so I’ve been running down the list of water falls to visit around my area. It’s a very comprehensive list with wonderful pictures. This Sunday afternoon, I started with an easy hike through the Western States Trail in Auburn State Recreation Area. See details here and here. I left late in the afternoon, so I didn’t get a good picture of the lower American Canyon Creek waterfall. It was getting dark and I didn’t want to run into any hungry critters. Despite the lower water level, it was a wonderful hike. If I had more day light, I would have hiked all the way through to the river. Oh well. There’s always next time.
- I was using a new camera since I forgot the battery charger for the old one. I only had 12 seconds compared to the 30, plus the successive 10 shots. I DO need a camera remote.
- I believe this is the Foresthill Blvd. bridge.
Derek, I have to say…
You may have missed your calling. I really think you need to look into using your photography skills as a profession.
With enough practice, there’s always the SHOT show sometime in January to find out how well I can take photos.
For the mean time, I’ll maintain that photography is just a point and click hobby for me. =)
