My brother says it best

My brother, Daren, has a well written post about his vote and I believe his decision is for all the right reasons.   I’m not in any position to decide who is right or wrong, but his reasons are certainly a lot more intelligent [especially mine] than others I’ve encountered.  It’s a view I absolutely appreciate and respect.

I can talk about why I’m fiscally conservative, but that’s for another post.  I’m voting for Bob Barr.  I don’t like the man himself (he’s swayed back and forth on important policies). Rather, I’m voting for the party. Voting to say, “Hey, I don’t like these candidates, and I don’t support them.”  Your vote says only, “Yes, I agree 100%” or “No, I disagree 100%.” There is no middle ground when you vote for someone because in the end, they don’t get ¾th of your vote, they get everything, and I’m in no position to give my whole vote to either candidate or the Republican and Democratic parties. […] Am I just wasting my vote? Not at all. People cannot continue to vote for cadidate they only agree with partly and hope to see some change.

Good enough for me, I voted differently but CA wasn’t even in play as far as I can tell.
