Those car museum pictures? I’m sure I’ll have them up soon…
In the mean time, I finally had the chance to drive out to JK Supply Co. to fill out the necessary paperwork to start my CA 10 day wait for the pistol I won at Gun Blogger Rendezvous.
What did I win? It’s a Para PXT LDA Limted Single Stack Pistol, donated by Kirby Smith of Para USA to support Project Valor-IT.
While I was having fun spitting lead and attempting to stay warm on range day, I didn’t have the chance to play around with this pistol. I suppose I wanted to stay away while I wasn’t attached – the desire seems less intense if I don’t have any experience wanting one. Reportedly, everyone else didn’t want to let it go. Had I not won and shot this pistol, I would feel inclined to agree. This isn’t the case, however. Lucky me!
When I arrived at Jk Supply Co., Ryan was pulling out the Para. I didn’t know what to expect; I have yet to even see it in person. Andy from Hi-Cap Gun Works shipped the gun disassembled, so I was a bit distracted assembling it back together and didn’t get to the necessary paperwork until I realized that playtime can wait. Whoops.
For the little time I had with this Para, I’m very excited. The pistol felt nice in my hands and I’m really curious about the action. I had a chance to shoot Joe’s Gun Blog .45 pistol from Para with a similar action – it was interesting. I anticipate an in-depth examination when I get my hands on it. You can count on that.
Congratulations on winning the nice pistol! I have been enjoying your photos of GBR; keep up the good work on your blog. True Blue
So THAT’s what it looks like! Congratulations and run that sucker!
Thanks Sam! Though I don’t keep up with my blog as much as I should, I really do appreciate the comments.
And yes, DC. I had no idea what I was expecting before I saw it. I plan on seeing how much I can run it without cleaning it. The trigger assembly looks something to be less desired, but I guess we’ll see how it’ll work out.
