I just bolted down the Rock Chucker on my bench in lieu of cleaning duty. I don’t have any components to actually load any .38 with, but I decided to try it out. One box of dies was marked .38 special; I gave that a try. It was difficult to get the case inside the die and wondered if I had made a poor choice in a bench since I might need more leverage. I took it out and lubed it lightly. It went in hesitantly, but it was much easier. I then decided to give the carbide die marked .38/.357 a try. BIG difference. I decided to deprime what I had laying around out of enthusiasm.
I only had five. Give me a break. I still have cleaning to do.
Did you use the correct case foot dealy? The cases should seat fairly easily. Don’t forget to bell the mouths of the cases before you seat your bullets.

even when using carbide dies, lube a case every 10 or so and run it through- the whole process goes buttery smooth then. I hope in some small way- I have corrupted you into a more avid shooter 😀
