1911 Tidbit #1

I found this awesome tidbit on a survival forum just a few minutes ago.  Let’s hope I won’t have to use it.

Okay, 1911-challenged am I. What is it?

I’m guessing it’s a spare round of .45 ACP stored where the trendy-but-apparently-unnecessary-depending-on-who-you-talk-to extended guide rod usually goes.

It’s a 45 ACP casing. It can be used if you lose the spring plug while field stripping a 1911. The spring plug is known to fly out of your hands if you’re not too careful. =)
