Purpose of this Blog:

I’ve been publishing my blogs on www.myspace.com for several months. I felt that by making the move to word press will create a more flexible layout to create the type of entries I intend to add.

Primarily, I will write about my experiences or update as I have before. However the full intent of this page is to write reviews on firearms, outdoor gear and accessories. I’m no expert regarding firearms or outdoor accessories; however, I have always observed that there aren’t a lot of written experiences about the products I enjoy. So to the few who might stumble upon this page, you may find my experiences useful.

If you have any question about any of the items used in this page - please feel free to contact me for more information.

MM of www.militarymorons.com has been an inspiration for this project.

Why “the packing rat?” I was born on the Year of the Rat, according to the Chinese zodiac. The use of “packing” can be interpreted in two ways: my advocation for concealed firearms by law abiding citizens and the nature of my firearm collecting habits.

Want to try something out?

If you have never shot a firearm and would like the chance to do so in the Sacramento, CA area - feel free to contact me and we can arrange something.

The Four Rules of Firearm Safety

Rule One - All guns are always loaded.

Rule Two - Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

Rule Three - Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target.

Rule Four - Be sure of your target. Know what it is, what is in line with it, and what is behind it. Never shoot anything you have not positively identified.

*Follow all four rules at all times and accidents will never happen.
