Good for Dr. David Benke, a math teacher at Deer Creek Middle School in Colorado, for reacting against the threat.
“Dr. Benke was out there at the time the school was being let out. It looked to me like he heard the shot and decided to react accordingly,” Steve Potter told FOX31 News. “There was a little bit of a wresting match for about 5 seconds or so,” before Benke had disarmed the gunman.
It’s a good thing we have laws in place to prevent bad people from possessing firearms. Oh wait.
A 32-year-old convicted felon opened fire outside Deer Creek Middle School in Littleton, Colorado Tuesday afternoon, wounding two students before he was tackled by a math teacher as he reloaded.
