However, given my restrictions as a Kalifornian, I’m restricted to C&R firearms. I go to the gun shows for the ammo – at least that was my attitude then. I’m lucky to find anything online right now.

I ask because you can often get good deals on used things, and with the current shortage that is national I cant imagine great deals on new things since supply is so short right now.

I, too, have a 10FP. In .308. I put a Leupold LRT 8.5-25x on mine. It’s a brilliant optic, but if I had it to do over again I might look for something with a 10 or 12x max. My experience with the 25x is that it’s just too much mag for field use aside from bench-rest type work. YMMV.
